THE DATA CONTROLLER
The data controller is Valentino S.p.A., with registered offices in Milan (Italy), Via F. Turati n. 16/18.
THE DATA PROCESSOR
The data processor appointed by Valentino S.p.A. is Antonio Puig S.A. The updated list of the data processors is available upon written request to be sent to Valentino S.p.A. at the address specified above.
PURPOSES AND CONDITIONS OF THE PROCESSING
The Data is handled, once prior authorisation has been given (through the respective flag in the registration form), for marketing purposes through automated procedures (e.g. sending of newsletters, e-mails, telephone text messages) and traditional procedures (e.g. sending by post of hard copy catalogues).
The Data is handled with automated and manual instruments for the period of time that is strictly necessary for achieving the purposes the data was collected for.
Specific security measures are observed to prevent the loss of data, unlawful or incorrect use thereof, and unauthorised access to the data.
OBLIGATORY OR OPTIONAL NATURE OF THE DATA
The provision of data is not obligatory; however, failure to provide said data will make it impossible to receive invitations, information and commercial offers.
PARTIES WHO MAY HAVE ACCESS TO THE DATA
The Data may become known to and be handled by:
- other companies within the group,
- companies supplying services, and commercial partners (including, for example, licensees),
- employees and consultants of Valentino S.p.A. and/or of other companies within the group, operating as data processors or persons in charge of the processing appointed by Valentino S.p.A.
The Data may also be transferred to foreign countries, including non-EU countries. The Data shall not be publicised in any way.
RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
Please note that you have the right to obtain confirmation at any moment of the existence or otherwise of data relating to you and to know the content and origin of such data, verify its accuracy or request that said data be supplemented, updated or rectified. You also have the right to request the cancellation, transformation to an anonymous form, or the blocking of data, and you may oppose at any time the handling of your data for the above described purposes. Please also note that the right to oppose the handling of your data for marketing purposes through automated procedures also extends to traditional procedures, without prejudice to your right to exercise this right in a partial manner. *Please find below, for the sake of completeness, the text of Art. 7 del Legislative Decree 196/03 relating to the rights that are granted to customers with regard to the handling of their personal data.
Art. 7. Right of access to personal data and other rights
1. The data subject has the right to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of personal data which relates to him/her, even if said data has not yet been registered, and is entitled to have the data content notified to him/her in an intelligible form.
2. The data subject has the right to obtain details:
a) of the origin of the personal data;
b) the aims and procedures of the data handling;
c) the criteria applied in the event of handling with the use of electronic instruments;
d) the details identifying the data controller, the data processors and the appointed representatives pursuant to article 5, paragraph 2;
e) the parties or categories of parties to whom personal data may be communicated or who may become aware of said data in their capacity as appointed representatives in the territory of the State, data processors or persons in charge of handling the data.
3. The data subject has the right to:
a) have his/her data updated, rectified or, when he/she wishes, supplemented;
b) obtain the cancellation, transformation to an anonymous form or the blocking of any data handled in breach of the law, including data for which storage is not necessary in terms of the purposes for which said data was collected or subsequently handled;
c) obtain proof that the operations in a) and b) above have been made known – including with regard to the respective content – to the parties to whom the data has been communicated or circulated, except where this is impossible or involves the use of means that are clearly disproportionate to the right that is to be safeguarded.
4. The data subject has the right to oppose, in whole or in part:
a) for legitimate reasons the handling of personal data relating to him/her, even if this is pertinent to the purpose for which the data has been collected;
b) the handling of personal data which relates to him/her for the purpose of sending advertising or direct sale material or for carrying out market research or commercial correspondence.
